Eyes in the Night - 1942
Here’s a mystery genre film from the World War II era — Eyes in the Night (1942). Edward Arnold portrays blind detective Duncan Maclain in this film, which is based on a novel by Baynard Kendrick. Maclain and his dog Friday uncover a Nazi scheme to steal military secrets.
Other cast members include Ann Harding, Donna Reed, Stephen McNally, Katherine Emery, Allen Jenkins, Stanley Ridges, Reginald Denny, and John Emery. The film was directed by Fred Zinneman, and produced by Jack Chertok.
