In this part of our movie poster guide series, we’ll look at some examples of special types and configurations of movie posters.

Standees
Standee or Standup items are displays that are configured to stand by themselves. Standees can range from theater lobby displays that are life-size or larger, to small countertop displays. Here are a couple of examples:

Banners
Banners are large posters that usually are intended for outdoor display. They typically are made out of vinyl or canvas. The banner display may be either vertical or horizontal. Banners were used for movie advertising early on in the history of cinema, and continue to be used today. Here is an example:

Door Panels
Now a rare collectible item, door panel posters were a vertical poster (typically 20X60), for use on theater doors. Here’s an example:
