It’s time for another Saturday Matinee movie! Today’s movie is a Roy Rogers and Gabby Hayes western from 1939, The Arizona Kid.

The story takes place during the Civil War. Roy Rogers and George “Gabby” Hayes portray Confederate Army scouts in Missouri, where they run into a gang of murderous outlaws.

Other cast members include Sally March, Stuart Hamlen, Earl Dwire, Robert Middlemass, Dorothy Sebastian, Peter Fargo, David Kerwin, and Fred Burns. And, of course, Roy’s horse Trigger is also in this western.

The Arizona Kid was directed by Joseph Kane.
